Kampen, September 11 — Tembo, a leading global technology group with Dutch roots, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Slomp as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective from October 16, 2023.
Guus Overdijkink, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Tembo, expressed his excitement about the appointment, stating, "We have gone through a thorough process to identify the best person for the CEO role to lead Tembo in its next phase. We were enthused by the quality of candidates we met. Tim Slomp came out as our candidate of choice, and we are happy that Tim joins Tembo as our new CEO."
Tim Slomp brings with him a wealth of experience, with over 25 years in globally active engineering and machine-building companies across various industries, including food, medical, and pharmaceuticals. He has held positions as Managing Director and CEO, demonstrating his expertise in innovation, technology, and operations.
Commenting on his new role, Tim Slomp stated, "It is with great appreciation and enthusiasm that I accept the opportunity to fulfil the role of CEO of Tembo. The trust placed in me by the Supervisory Board and the Van der Sluis family is an honour I greatly appreciate. As part of the leadership transition, three family members currently serving on the Board of Directors, Arend, Michiel, and Hester Van der Sluis, will step down from their executive roles on January 1, 2024, and transition into advisory roles.
